Just what a deli should be. Comfortable place. Great service. Super nice folks. Delicious food. The wife got a NY deli sandwich... so piled high. She loved it. My Reuben was perfect! Onion rings were tasty - half order enough for two people. The breakfast menu looked really good. May have to come back for breakfast before we head home.

This is a quaint restaurant with good food. The staff is kind and polite, offering local insight on things to see and do. The coffee and eggs are hot and even though many people are on beach time, they do well to get you in and out to continue with your day. The breakfast sandwiches are hearty and they do not skimp on the meats. It is a great way to start the day. The lunches are great too.

This deli really cares about food quality! We ordered onion rings, 3 sandwiches and a hot dog and everything was so delicious!! I kept saying "Mmmm, omg!!" the whole time we ate. The large order of onion rings was enough for the 4 of us, and they were so crispy! We were full and satiated, and left spending under $100! A new must-stop for us when we visit Hilton Head! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant and bathroom were very clean.

Had a hankering for a sandwich and stumbled across Gruby's. OH MY! It was the BEST Sandwhich I can remember having. Fresh bread, freshly cut tender meat. I didn't want it to end. The tenderest corned beef and pastrami you will ever have. It was so good I drove 20 minutes out of my way to go back the next day for lunch as well. You don't need to go to New York to find a good deli because this deli is better than any I found in New york. I can't wait to go back.
